Corporate Giving

Corporations can work with Easter Seals Alberta through sponsorships, cash donations and in-kind donations. We will work with your company to identify the most appropriate method to fulfill your company’s strategic plan and mission within your social responsibility structure.

Sponsorships

Working from a 50 year history of helping Albertans with disabilities, Easter Seals Alberta has the capacity to bring your social marketing to the forefront of the business community by increasing your company profile through our special events and targeted public relations. Also, we can involve your employees in our programs (such as Easter Seals Camp Horizon) or in our special events as participants or volunteers, bringing personal pride to your employees and collective pride to your corporation.

We Care Ball The We Care Ball is a fabulous six-course gourmet dining experience provided by the Calgary Academy of Chefs. They prepare an incomparable menu and local food service companies donate the ingredients. The evening’s activities include a champagne reception, dancing, and silent auction. The We Care Ball is an established well attended event your company can be proud to be affiliated with, a perfect entertaining venue for your special employees and clients.

Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay The Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay will celebrate its 25th anniversary in June. Sponsoring this event would be a great opportunity for your company to include your employees in your social interests. The 24 Hour Relay is comprised of teams of 20 running for 24 straight hours and partying at the same time.

The Banded Peak Challenge for Easter Seals Camp Horizon This Rocky Mountain fundraising event is a favorite event for avid mountain bikers and hikers of all ages! Cater to the athletes in your office and help them participate in the Banded Peak Challenge for Easter Seals Camp Horizon.

Easter Seals Drop Zone This event sees participants become Superheroes for a day when they raise a minimum of $1,500 to rappel off a downtown building in Edmonton or Calgary.

Easter Seals Camp Horizon Become a Camp Sponsor and ensure a camp for children with disabilities for a week, half-week or day at camp. Bring your employees out to Camp to share a BBQ with the kids. Let them feel the clean air and the exhilaration of each camper as they share a burger and a smile.

Capital Sponsorships

Easter Seals McQueen Residence and Easter Seals Camp Horizon offer first class facilities for individuals with physical disabilities. These buildings sometimes need infrastructure repairs, additions, or equipment. Contact Easter Seals to help fund a capital project.

Cash Donations

Receive a charitable tax receipt when your corporation makes a cash donation to Easter Seals Alberta. We will work with you for appropriate recognition in the community and in your office place. The ESS program can provide a presentation with staff and a client to familiarize your employees with the work we do in Alberta. Easter Seals Camp Horizon will provide tours of camp and interactive demonstrations with your employees at your convenience.

Did You Know Part 1

In 1951 Canadian Mothers began marches such as one led by Canada’s first female Cabinet Minister, Ellen Fairclough, MP for Hamilton West. As a result of their efforts, the research of Dr. Jonas Salk was well funded, creating the historic made-in-Canada cure for polio. Today, Easter Seals Alberta funds vital programs and services for adults with disabilities and special needs.
