Each year in conjunction with our Annual General Meeting we present awards to recognize and honour people, organizations, and corporations who share our mission to help persons with disabilities and special needs improve the quality of their lives.

As a non-profit organization, Easter Seals Alberta is extremely grateful for financial support from the Alberta public and deeply appreciative of outstanding contributions of time, talent, effort, and service on behalf of children and adults with disabilities.

Glen Matheson Award

The Easter Seals Alberta Glen Matheson Award is the highest provincial honor within the organization’s capacity to bestow. This award recognizes and honors outstanding contributions for promoting the cause of providing services to persons with disabilities and special needs by individuals and/or organizations not formally related to the organization. Congratulations to our 2009 recipient:

Order of Merit

The Easter Seals Order of Merit is awarded in honor of a singular distinction, which the organization bestows upon volunteers, and leaders who have earned the admiration and appreciation of the organization throughout Alberta. Congratulations to our 2009 recipient:

Culture of Ability Award

The Easter Seals Culture of Ability Award is awarded to an Alberta employer who, over a period of time, has demonstrated distinguished leadership in recognizing capabilities and potential of individuals with physical disabilities. Doug Walker President’s Award

The Easter Seals Alberta Doug Walker President’s Award is chosen by the President of the organization. This award is given for time, talent, energy and dedication devoted in outstanding measure to voluntary service on behalf of Albertans with disabilities and special needs.
